Philip DeLuna

Phillip Anthony “Phil” DeLuna, 32, of Beaumont, died Saturday, February 25, 2017. He was born on October 5, 1984, in Beaumont, to Lisa Buentello DeLuna and Pete Cruz DeLuna.
Phil was a 2003 graduate of Central High School in Beaumont. He adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Phil was an avid New England Patriots and Los Angeles Lakers fan. He also loved animals and was known as the “cat whisperer” because of his fondness for cats.
Phil is survived by his parents; brother, Mike DeLuna and his wife, Kim; sister, Jennifer Kaufman and her husband, Steven; nephews, Steven Kaufman, Jr., Michael DeLuna, Jr., and Xavier DeLuna; grandmother, Sally Buentello; aunts, Lupe DeLuna and Mary LeBlanc; and uncles, Raymond Buentello and his wife, Debbie; and Robert Buentello.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marcella R. DeLuna, Juan DeLuna, Sr., and Benito Buentello, Sr.
A gathering of Phil's family and friends will begin 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2017, at Broussard's, with his interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
