Ray Gentry

Ray “Sonny” Gentry, 87, of Lumberton, died Thursday, December 19, 2019. He was born on January 30, 1932, in Kilgore. Sonny proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his children, Jeanne Roddy and her husband, Robert, of Lumberton; Richard Gentry and his wife, Connie, of Lufkin; Ray Gentry and his wife, Carol, of Navarre, Florida; Janice Rodriguez of Biloxi, Mississippi; and Latisha Headrick of Lumberton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Thelma Huggins Gentry; and five siblings.

A committal for Mr. Gentry was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, SIlsbee.
