Raymond Mitchell

Raymond Oliver Mitchell, 85, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, December 17, 2019. He was born on May 29, 1934, to Ada Maurine Askew and Raymond Mitchell, in Beaumont. Raymond graduated from South Park High School in 1951 and then went to Texas A&M University. He played Minor League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Raymond retired from Velsicol Chemical.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Ann Boudreaux Mitchell, of Beaumont; children, Michael, Becky, and Buddy Mitchell; granddaughters, Nikki and Amanda Mitchell; grandsons, Blaine and Jared Mitchell, and their mother, Tracy Warren Mitchell; the light of his life and great-granddaughter, Hailey Marie Mitchell; sister, Barbara Mitchell Maxwell; and Alex Deleon and family.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to a special angel, Natalie.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
