Ramond A. Sears, Sr.

December 16, 1935 - July 26, 2020

Raymond A. Sears, Sr., 84, of Beaumont, died Sunday, July 26, 2020 at St. David Medical Center, Austin. He was born to Ola Pitre Sears and Aaron Sears on December 16, 1935, in Volt, Texas.

He is survived by his daughters, Dr. Linda Williams Joseph and her husband, Simeon, of Killeen, Texas, Tammy G Sears, of Concord, California, and Quintella Thomas, of Beaumont; son, Michael Sears, of Beaumont; daughter, Lela Rideau, of Beaumont; son, Donald Sears and his wife, Candy, of Beaumont; sister, Barbara Sears, of Beaumont; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ola Pitre Sears and Aaron Sears; son, Raymond Sears, Jr.; and sisters, Leona Powell and Veola Broussard.

A gathering of Mr. Sears family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Broussard’s 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2020 followed by his interment at Live Oak Cemetery, Beaumont.
