Rennie Gray-Tupy
Rennie Gray-Tupy, 64, passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas. Rennie was born April 2, 1953, in Manhattan, New York.
In 1972, she married Charles Gray, in Tarrytown, New York. In the early 1970s, she relocated with her family to Nebraska. While living there, she earned an A.A.S. in welding technology, from NWC and later a nursing degree from SECC. Rennie worked as a nurse for several years. She had a particular love for geriatrics.
In 1999, Rennie and her husband purchased a farm in Kansas and operated a kennel for several years, until health prevented continuing. She and her husband eventually relocated to Texas, to be closer to family, and to enjoy milder winters.
Rennie was a lover. She showered her children and their families with an amazing kind of unconditional love. She loved nature, plants, mountains, the ocean and animals. Rennie was a caregiver. She raised five children of her own and many others. She adopted anyone who might need her help. No one ever left her home hungry and if there was a way for her to help, she would. She was an awesome mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rennie leaves behind to miss her forever her husband of sixteen years, Joseph Tupy; five children, Mary DeOllos, (Amber and Alexis); Charles Gray, Jr., (Tiler, Tasha and Terrell); David Gray, (Cierra, Alexis, Grant and Bailey); Sondra Gray, (Ryan, Shuntk, Tyren, Genesis and Carlos); and Brian Gray, (Tayanna, T.J. and Aliyah); twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; extended family members and many friends.
The family wishes to express appreciation for the outpouring of prayer and love shown to us at this time. If you wish to honor Rennie, practice random acts of kindness.
A private committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
