Rheudolph Gray

April 3, 1930 - November 19, 2019

Rheudolph “Rudy” Gray, 89, of Autryville, North Carolina, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at State Employees Credit Union Hospice House of Johnston Health, Smithfield, North Carolina. He was born on April 3, 1930, in Blum, to Nettie Valentine Sevier Gray and John C. Gray. Rudy was the youngest of nine children, worked as a Welder for forty years with Texaco-Chevron in the Petrochemical industry, and was a member of the Nederland Avenue Church of Christ. He was also skilled at playing the guitar and loved singing country music.

Survivors include his wife, Lettie Lou Gray; son, Jeffery and his wife, Marie Gray; daughters, Lana and her husband, Harold Licatino and Phyllis and her husband, Mike Burgess; grandchildren, Dwight Smith and his wife, Machelle; Amie James and her husband, Richard; Neil Williamson and his wife, Patty; Janie Kenna and her husband, John; Douglas Gray and his wife, Christa; and Thomas Gray; eight great-grandchildren; stepson, Laurice Williams and his wife, Becky; and families.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Joyce Brown Gray; and his siblings.

A gathering of Mr. Rheudolph’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
