Rickey Mazzola

Rickey Mazzola, 53, of Hamshire, died Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. He was born February 25, 1963, in Winshire to Juanita Hebert Mazzola and Salvatore A. “Sam” Mazzola, Sr.  

He was a lifetime resident of the Hamshire area, until moving to Crystal Beach. Rickey’s favorite pastime was fishing and hunting. But, mostly, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends.  

He is survived by his mother, Juanita Mazzola, of Hamshire; brothers, Tony Mazzola, of Hamshire, Johnny Mazzola and his wife, Kim, of Winnie; sisters, Joni Ray and her husband, Carey, of Fannett; and Lori “Peanut” Blanda and her husband, Louis, of Beaumont; numerous nieces; nephews; other family members and many friends.  

Rickey was preceded in death by his father; and wife, Linda Atkinson.  

A gathering of Mr. Mazzola’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 20, 2017, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Dickinson.
