Robert Bob Caraway

Robert “Bob” Caraway, 78, of Winnie, died Thursday, February 23, 2017. He was born August 20, 1938 in Delano, California, to Martha Ethel Stalkner Caraway and William Victor Caraway. He was a longtime resident of the Winnie area, and was the retired owner of Gulfway Lumber. 

Survived by his wife, Janet, of Winnie; son, Victor Caraway and his wife, Connie, of Winnie; brother, Billy Jack Caraway and his wife, Mary Jane, of Round Rock; sister, Mary Stearman and her husband, Benny, of Winnie; step-sons, Aaron Godeaux, of China; and Fred Rorex, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; step-daughter, Brenda Richardson and her husband, Lonnie, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; numerous nieces; nephews; step grandchildren; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; first wife, Lillie Caraway; and second wife, Carol Caraway. 

A gathering of Mr. Caraway’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2017 at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Winnie, 120 East Pear, Winnie. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
