Robert “Bob” David Tammen
Robert “Bob” David Tammen, 86, of Beaumont, died Sunday, January 14, 2018. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on February 16, 1931, to Valrie and John Carl Tammen. Bob was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a rice farmer for forty years.
Bob is survived by his son, Chris Tammen and his wife, Janice, of Trophy Club; daughters, Pam Thornton and her husband, Alan, of Lumberton and Teri Morgan and her husband, Glen, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Lauren Tammen; Morgan Tammen; Christyn Thornton; Ashley Thornton; Matthew Morgan and his wife, Cassie; Michael Morgan; and Amy Morgan Pyburn and her husband, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Jack, Jude, and Joseph Pyburn.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost fifty-nine years, Peggy Foster Tammen; and brother, Kenneth Tammen.
A gathering of Mr. Tammen’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
