Rodney Cormier
Rodney Charles Cormier, 78, passed away at home, Friday, January 11, 2019. He was born October 7, 1940, in Church Point, Louisiana, to Annie Bellard Cormier and Joseph Murphy Cormier. Rodney moved to the Beaumont area in the early 1960s to attend Lamar University. After over thirty years of service, he retired from Goodyear Rubber Company.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Cormier; and son, Kevin Cormier and his wife, Stacy, all of Winnie; brother, James Cormier and his wife, Wanda, of West Lake, Louisiana; sister, Mary Anne Thompson, of Dallas; grandchildren, Mandy Cormier, of Hamshire and Kristi Cormier, of Groves; stepchildren, Travis Saunders, of Austin; Natalie Richter and her husband, Jay, of Winnie; Blayne Nolen and his wife, Monica, of Winnie; step-grandchildren, Jordan, Ellie, Jaxyn, Jadyn, Lucah, Lochlyn, Paxton, and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Adriana, Greyson, and Graham.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Keith Cormier; and grandson, Kasey Cormier.
A gathering of Mr. Cormier’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2019, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

fondest memory !! crabbing out at the reserve back in the 60's, so many, crawling out of bed of truck...Rodney taught me how to clean and cook at the old age of 18 !! living in the city, this was huge !!
