Ronald Rudolph "Ron" Strybos
Ronald Rudolph Strybos, Jr., 63, of Kountze, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021. He was born February 8, 1958, to Anna Pickett Strybos and Ronald Rudolph Strybos, Sr., in Winnfield, Louisiana. Ron was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, a past commander of the Texas Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and a Lamar University Alumni.
Ron is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Gwendolyn Loftin Strybos, of Kountze; daughters, Katherine Strybos, of Lumberton; Desirae Strybos Bugaj and husband, Tomasz Bugaj, of Edmond, Oklahoma; Opa to Brynn, Edyn, Garrett, and Jordyn Rota, all of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, Andrew Strybos and significant other, Kris Dawson, of Bryan; mother, Anna Pickett Strybos, of Groves; brother, John Strybos and wife, Melanie, and their daughter Sarah, of San Antonio; sister, Anne Vrolyk and husband, Michael, of League City.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Rudolph Strybos, Sr.; and grandparents, Manuel and Irene Pickett.
A gathering of Mr. Strybos’ family and friends will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2021, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
