Rosa Lane

December 9, 1957 - December 2, 2018

Legacy of Love.

A mother, a grandma too.

This is the legacy we have from you.

You taught us love and how to fight,

You gave us strength, you gave us might.

A stronger person would be hard to find,

And in your heart, you were always kind.

You fought for us all in one way or another,

Not just as a mother not just as a grandmother.

For all of us you gave your best,

Now the time has come for you to rest.

So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep,

Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.

On Sunday December 2, 2018 Rosa Maria Lane left us for her forever home with her Heavenly Father escaping the pain of her failing body. It’s hard to say goodbye. I wish that we had more time, and perhaps that during the time we had we had spent more of it together. I wish that so much of her life had not been lost to her illness, that things could have been different for her, and for us. While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. But even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance. The ways she touched our lives will remain. A loving mother and grandmother that would give her last dime to another, you will be forever missed.

I met Rosa yrs ago in Vidor. She lived across the street from me. Her daughter and my daughter went to school together. Thru the yrs we lost contact with each other, but I am so thankful that we were able to pick up where we left off during the past several yrs. I loved her and will miss her terribly but she has truly gone to a better place and I am sure she would not want to come back! "See you just inside the Eastern Gate Rosa! You;' have run your race! Praise the Lord Jesus!"

Rosa was one of God's angel here on Earth, she will be missed by many. She loved and was loved by many. Rosa had a heart of gold, When I moved back here from up north, Rosa embraced me and said It is about time you got back here you old lady and she was laughing as she said it. I know a man an when she spoke of her familyd face a woman can be come soul mates ,Rosa, and I became soul sisters in God's eyes because we looked out for each other on a daily bases if we were not talking on the phone we were down at each others apartment, seeing how each other was doing. Rosa just told me recently how happy she was going to breakfast with her son and her grandkids and that she had not seen them in a long while. That was a very happy day for her she had a big smile on her face when she told me about that day.

I have only been at Raintree Apts. for a year and four months and have not known Rosa that long. When I did meet her I knew right then that she was a Godly and spiritual worrier for Christ. She had such a sweet kind and loving spirit about her. We had our differences a couple of times but our awesome God stepped in and fixed it. She suffered with so much pain and was in an out of hospital so many times. God knew what he was doing when he took Rosa home. She is in the most wonderful place where there is no more suffering or pain and where she has a new body. I loved Rosa so much and she is surely going to be missed by me and by others here at the Apartment Complex. I send my condolences to all of her family and that will cover you with his loving arms at this time. a Rosa was such a Godly and spiritual lady and I loved her kindness and smile. We had our differences a couple of times but God intervened and fixed it. I am surely going to miss her, but she is where there is no more suffering and pain and out of that old body and in to a new one. I'll be glad when I will be able to see her again and talk to her and embrace. I send my condolences to all of her family and that God will wrap them in his arms and watch over them in this time of sorrow.
