Bro. Roy will always hold a special place in my heart. To make a long story short, I carried a lot of wounds from my early years of youth ministry. I never knew just how hateful and awful people could be youth ministers prior to that first job I had. When God relocated my family to Pinecrest Baptist Church in Silsbee, He put people like Roy into my life to help the old wounds heal. It is hard to express just how much Roy's warm smile and friendly spirit impacted my life but I will be forever grateful to him and the other wonderful people of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Bro. Roy will be greatly missed by me and my family.
