Ruby Coleman

Ruby Jean Coleman, 79, of Lumberton, died Monday, March 6, 2017.  She was born on November 24, 1937, in Fred, to Emma Whisenant Eason and Cecil Eason.

Survivors include her children, Dwaine Coleman and his wife, Evelyn, of Warren; Sherry Herndon and her husband, Emery, of Spurger; Jerry Coleman of Lumberton; and Judy Jordan and her husband, Darren, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Greg Coleman, Rodney Coleman, Brittany Forsythe, Dylan Coleman, Christie Sylvester, Heather Gore, Billy Herndon, Jason Coleman, Jeremy Coleman, Jessica Coleman, Summer, Jordan, Devan Jordan, and Caitlin Jordan; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Geneva Barnes, Irene Arceneaux, Lydia Martin, and Denise Smith; and brothers, Billy Eason, Ross Eason, and Clayton Eason.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty-nine years, Hubert Coleman; and brothers, David, James, and Matthew Eason.

A gathering of Mrs. Coleman’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery, Silsbee.
