Sandra Brown Hawkes

Sandra Brown Hawkes, 67, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on June 5, 1949, in Marlin, to Mildred McDonald Brown and Charles Taylor Brown, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. She worked for the State of Texas for twenty-eight years.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Charles Keith Hawkes; brother, Randy Brown and his wife, Cyndi, of Kyle; mother-in-law, Arlean Hawkes, of Beaumont; brother-in-law, Marshall Hawkes and his wife, Barbara, of Kountze; sisters-in-law, Donna Hawkes, of Nederland and Marcia Hawkes, of Rosenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Gary Hawkes; parents, Mildred and Charles Brown; and father-in-law, Charles W. Hawkes.

A gathering of Mrs. Hawkes’ family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church, 6220 Westgate Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont.
