Sharon Galaviz

Sharon Galaviz, 61, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on August 22, 1957, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Virginia Dove and Charles Alfred Smith.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Luis Galaviz; daughter, LaTosha Bussinger and her husband Terry; mother, Virginia Saleme; and step-father, Nick Salame, all of Beaumont; aunt, Sheila Reed and her husband, Eric, of Bridge City; uncle, Ray Dove and his wife, Penny, of California; grandchildren, Raven Simon, Megan Bussinger, Autumn Cunningham, Austen Bussinger, and Paige Bussinger, all of Beaumont.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Hazel Dove; and uncle, Bill Dove.

A gathering of Mrs. Galaviz’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 27, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Broussard’s, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont.
