Shawn Gallander
Shawn Dale Gallander, 44, of Port Arthur, died Friday, November 2, 2018. He was born on September 18, 1974, in Port Arthur, to Claudine Jeanette Matlock Stuber and Daniel Stuber.
Shawn was a Sergeant at Jefferson County Sherriff’s Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Shawn was a member of Masonic Lodge in Port Neches.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Leyla Gallander of Port Arthur; children, Shala Gallander of Mauriceville, Otis Gallander of Nederland, and Emma Gallander, of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Ryder, Kinley, Kayse, Wesson, and Paizlee; mother, Claudine Stuber; sisters, Tammie Abshire of Nederland; Tona Tinker and her husband, Neville “Sly”, of Groves; Theresa Clausen and her husband, Jon, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; and Danielle Stuber of Nederland; brother, Justin Stuber of Florida; grandmother, Darlene Holbrook of Colmesneil; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Stuber; grandfather, Henry Holbrook; grandparents, Margie and Junior Stuber; and niece and nephew, Brandon and Brittany Wolfe.
A gathering of Mr. Gallander’s family and friends will begin 12:00 p.m., followed by his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2018., at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
