Shirleen Marie Sahualla

Shirleen Marie Sahualla, 74, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on September 11, 1946, to Isaure Leger Baronet and Farnest Baronet, in Rayne, Louisiana, where she grew up on a farm. Shirleen worked for Helena Labs for twenty years, then working for BISD until her retirement until 2013. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church.

Shirleen loved to cook, go walking, and working outside in her flower beds. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and mostly her grandchildren. Shirleen loved all animals, especially cats.

Survivors include her children, Randy Sahualla and his wife, Deanna, of Beaumont; Tracy Sahualla and his wife, Pam, of Fannett; and Paulette Sahualla and her fiancé, Cliff Weldon, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Shaine Sahualla, Cody Sahualla, Alyssa Sahualla, and Dylan Richardson; and brother, Lee Baronet of North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nelson “Bobby” Baronet; and sisters, Lena Mae Tommasi and Ethel “Jane” Simon.

A gathering of Ms. Sahualla’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 7, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Broussard’s. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Highland Memory Gardens, 6325 Common Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
