Shirley Powell

Shirley Manning Powell, 84, of Lumberton, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at Christus Hospital – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born to Mary Parrish and Walter Manning, on November 20, 1935, in Spring Hill, Louisiana.

Survivors include her daughter, Shuan Gammage and her husband, Frank, of Lumberton; son, Ken Butler and wife, Catherine, of Lafayette, Louisiana; daughter, Felicia Broussard and her husband, Tim, of Orange; grandchildren, Chris Hatcher and his wife, Jennifer; Corey Gammage and his wife, Christa; Hannah Gammage; Matthew Butler and his wife, Sarah; Ryan Butler; Lauren Butler; Samantha Butler; and Morgan Hatton; nine great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and one nephew, David Manning and his wife, Corliss, and thier daughters, Melissa, Amanda, and Tiffany.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

A gathering of Ms. Powell’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her service to follow at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 20, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
