Stuart “Stu” Gay

January 23, 1962 - December 2, 2018

Stuart “Stu” Gay, 56, of Port Neches, died on Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was born January 23, 1962, in Port Arthur, to Shirley Ann Broussard Gay and Donald Ralph Gay.

Survivors include his fiancé, Carol Carnright-Bagwell; children, Candice Powell, Rodney Amidon, Joshua Kayde Amidon, Desirea Whalen, and Heather Gay; grandchildren, Velouria Powell, Ava Aleman, Irelyn Amidon, Camden Sweat, Adalynn Whalen, Madden Whalen, Mary Collida, Nicolas DeMas, and Ruth DeMas; baby Amidon on the way; siblings, Donna Gay, Jeffrey Gay, Lisa Scott, Scott Gay, and Ted Gay, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary Gay.

A gathering of Mr. Gay’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, Nederland. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, at a later date the family will gather for the burial of his cremated body at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
