T. L. Bean

Talmadge Laverne Bean, “T.L.” 92, of Beaumont, died Monday, February 13, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont.  He was born on May 22, 1924, in Gillsburg, Mississippi, to Elizabeth Wall Bean and Charlie Bean, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. T.L. was a United States Army veteran from the 29th Infantry Division, having served in World War II. He owned and operated Airport Limousine Service in Beaumont.

T.L. is survived by his wife, Peggy J. Bean, of Beaumont; sons, James Dale Bean and his wife, Darla, of Sour Lake and Jerry Lynn Bean and his wife, Bobbie, of Beaumont; daughter, Janice Laverne Chunn, of Arkansas; grandchildren, Christina Bean Savant and her husband, Jimi; Robert Mayo and his wife, Tyleigh; James Mayo and his wife, Trinity; Tina Henry and her husband, Steve; Keith Chunn, and Jason Chunn; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mr. Bean will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 North Main Street, Vidor, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
