Tammy Marie Trahan

Tammy Trahan, 60, of Winnie, died at Harbor Hospice on September 9, 2020.
She was born on September 27, 1959 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Raymond Myers and Yvonne Bouley. She moved from Lake Charles, Louisiana to Winnie, Texas at the age of 8 years old with her mother and her brother and remained a resident of Winnie throughout her entire life.
She took pride in her cajun heritage and loved listening to cajun music and dancing. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed raising chicken and ducks. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing card games, putting puzzles together, playing bingo, and the Texas Lottery. Throughout her life, she worked in many different fields including: school bus driver for East Chamber ISD and Hamshire-Fannett ISD, personal care provider, food industry, and customer service.
She is survived by her daughters, Natasha Walker and her husband, Cliff Walker, of Winnie, and Lisa Shoemaker and her husband, Zachary Shoemaker, of Groves; and son, Robert Trahan of Winnie; grandchildren, Kirsten Walker, Shelby Walker, and Zane Shoemaker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Myers; father, Raymond Myers; and brother, Lonnie Cormier, Jr.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to all who have offered condolences and support during this time. A special “thank you” to Harbor Hospice who provided excellent care and comfort to her and family.
A gathering of Ms. Trahan's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2020, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
