Thelma Carney

October 1, 1922 - July 7, 2017

Thelma Virginia Leas Carney of Livingston, Texas, formerly of Beaumont, Texas​ and Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed into God’s hands on Friday, July 7, 2017.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn L. Carney, of Livingston, Texas; son, Michael L. Carney and his wife, Pam of, Bonifay, Florida; grandson, Scott M. Snow, of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters, Dyann K. Carney, of Conroe, Texas; and Amy R. Storer, of Montgomery, Texas; nieces, Debbi, Lynda, and Julie, all of Kalamazoo; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, Willow, Nancy Ann, and Finn.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Leo E. Leas and Clementine Van Hyfte Leas; husband, Donald S. Carney; brothers, Lowell Wayne Leas and Leo E. Leas, Jr.; and grandson, Spencer J. Snow.

Michael was her best friend and confident, he could always depend on her, she loved him dearly. She was the glue that held the family together. She enjoyed very good health up to her last few years, drove her own vehicle until 3 months before passing. She so enjoyed her church family, and leaves behind her special friend, Valerie.   The family requests no flowers​ nor gifts. ​​

A graveside memorial service will be held in Kalamazoo, Michigan at a later date.
