Theodore Peters

Theodore Thomas Peters, 75, of Silsbee, died Friday, May 11, 2018. He was born on December 11, 1942, in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, to Irene Drew Peters and Christopher Peters.

Theodore attended Austin High School in Detroit, Michigan and Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan where he met Karen, his wife of fifty-four years. He worked in the financial field for twenty-six years before becoming a Subway Franchisee in 1991. He retired in 2010 to travel.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Peters; sons, Michael Peters and his wife, Amy, of Deer Park and Robert Peters and his wife, Cari, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Kyle Peters and his wife, Chelsea, of Kountze; Justin Peters and Melissa Peters, both of Deer Park; and Cassidy Peters of Lumberton; brother-in-law, Ronald Brown of Birch Run, Michigan; and sister-in-law, Rochelle Boland of Columbia, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of Theodore’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
