Timothy Paul Whitaker

Timothy Paul Whitaker, 60, of China, Texas died Tuesday, May 21, 2019. He was born on April 29, 1959, in Beaumont, to Lou Nell Chambers Whitaker and David Samuel Whitaker.

Survivors include his parents, Lou Nell and David Whitaker of Beaumont; sons, Christopher Paul Whitaker and his wife, Tara, of Evanston, Illinois and Mark Andrew Whitaker and his wife, Mandi, of Nederland; siblings, Stephen Whitaker of Beaumont; Linda Whitaker of Crockett; David Samuel Whitaker, Jr. of Beaumont; Lou Nell Weeks of China; and Janet Shimer and her husband, Dan, of Wyoming, Michigan; grandchildren, Levi Jaden Whitaker and Madeline Sage Whitaker; and nieces and nephews, Sernina Whitaker, Sherry Salazar, and other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gertie and Nowlan Chambers.

A gathering of Mr. Whitaker’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2019, at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church, 6220 Westgate Drive, Beaumont. His cremation was handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
