Troy Edward Baker

December 9, 1972 - October 14, 2020

Troy Edward Baker, 47, of Nederland, died Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. He was born December 9, 1972, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Marella Sue Harrington Nelson and Charles Baker.

Troy enjoyed watching football, especially, the Pittsburg Steelers. He also enjoyed watching his daughter, Darian, play softball and having spirited conversations with his son, Zach. Troy loved to spend time laughing and visiting with his family and friends. He will most be remembered for his “live life to the fullest” attitude and willingness to help anyone out at any time.

Survivors include his wife, Stacy Baker; children, Darian Baker; Zachary Baker, all of Nederland; and Blayse Baker, of Bridge City; siblings, Miranda Vazquez and husband, Gustavo; Coy Nelson, all of Nederland; and Chelsea Baker, of Vidor; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his Mom and Pop Nelson; and brother, Chris Nelson, Sr.

Cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of one’s choice.
