I was just thinking of Sister Vergie the other day after the funeral for Sister Janie. We enjoyed so many years going to church together at Fannett Gospel Tabernacle. She and Bro Whitney were always so nice to me and my family. I know she is excited to be reunited with Whitney and her dearly beloved Verlene. I remember her talking about losing Verlene so early in life. I know the family members here on earth have a loss, but heaven has gained a wonderful lady who is dancing, shouting and singing on streets in heaven and reuniting with those who have gone on before. Makes me homesick for heaven to think of all the friends that have gone on before. God Bless and follow her witness about Jesus and join her in heaven one day!

There are many great memories that I have of Mrs Gaspard from long ago. She would come to our house and visit with my Mom while Jimmy and I played. I always loved to listen to her accent and hear her tell stories! She always had great stories! I also remember her at her house always canning or cooking vegetables that Mr Gaspard had brought her. She was a wonderful person and Mom. May she fly High and be at rest.

To the Family: My sympathy goes to all of you during your time of grief. May the "God of Comfort" (Psalms 83:18) comfort and help you through this difficult time. And may his promises found at John 6:40 and Acts 24:15, “ ... there is going to be a resurrection...” provide you with strength and hope. We long to see the fulfillment of these promises soon.
