Victor Anthony Petkovsek

February 23, 1931 - April 16, 2017

Victor Anthony Petkovsek, 86, of Lumberton, died Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Harbor Hospice on Major Drive, Beaumont. He was born on February 23, 1931, in Beaumont, to Mary Aubey Petkovsek and Andrew Petkovsek, and retired as an operator after 30 years at Texas Gulf, and Sulfur, in Beaumont.

Victor went out of his way to help others. He was a faithful husband, father, and friend.

Victor is survived by his daughters, Alison Gilmore, of Lumberton; and Lola Smith, and her husband, James, of Willis; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Petkovsek, of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lolita Owen Petkovsek; son, Victor Arthur Petkovsek; grandsons, Charles Smith and Micah Smith; brothers, Andrew “Junie” Petkovsek and Charles Lewis Petkovsek; and sister, Rita Cecilia Williams.

A gathering of Mr. Petkovsek’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Memorial Mass will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton.
