Vina May Jordan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Vina May Jordan. Ms. Jordan was born in Houston, Texas on May 4, 1933. She was raised in Austin, Texas and moved to Jefferson County in 1953.  Ms. Jordan was a graduate of Lamar University then began her career as a teacher at Monsignor Kelly High School in Beaumont, Texas where she taught for over 32 years.

She is preceded in death by our sister, Mary Theresa Jordan November 7, 1962 – October 2, 2012.

Ms. Jordan is survived by her 7 children; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren:  Dr. Dan Jordan, Col, USAF Retired, of Kansas City, MO; his children:  Daniel Jordan of Seattle, Washington; Laura Jordan of Georgetown, TX; Mr. & Mrs. Charles Jordan of Chicago, IL; their children:  Mr. & Mrs. William Jordan of Alexandria, VA; Mr. & Mrs. Christopher Angell of New York, NY.  Miss Adelina Jordan and her son, Johnnathon Torriente of Austin, TX; Miss Catherine Jordan of Beaumont, TX; Mr. Joseph Jordan of Beaumont, TX; Ms. Madeline Jordan of Virginia Beach, VA and her children; Mr. & Mrs. Buck Russo of Virginia Beach, VA, Mr. Joey Russo of New York, NY;  and Miss Riley Claywell of Virginia Beach, VA;  Mr. & Mrs. Rich Engels of Hollywood, FL and their children:  Mr. & Mrs. Adrian Alonso of Cooper City, FL, Mr. & Mrs. Justin Campbell of Memphis, TN and Mr. Matthew Engels of Hollywood, Fl.

A Memorial Mass for Mrs. Jordan will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, followed by a Celebration of Life for her friends and family at 10:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at Broussard's Centre, 1775, Calder Avenue, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, Ms. Jordan requested donations be made to Monsignor Kelly High School Scholarship Fund, 5950 Kelly Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77707, to be used for the education of future students.
