Violet Turner

Violet Timme Turner, 96, of Beaumont, died Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Jefferson Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born on July 1, 1922, to Adele Waak and Otto C. Timme, in Bellville, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Calvin Turner, of Beaumont; sons, Jerry Day, of Kingwood; Michael Day, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; daughter, Carol Leach, of Amarillo; sons, Raymond Turner, of Fullerton, California; William Turner, of Dallas; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and goddaughter, Vicky Holland, and her three children, Jeffrey, Tommy, and Avery.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Otto Timme, Mercedes Carroll, Wilbert Timme, and Ozelle Black.

A gathering of Mrs. Turner’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4330 Crow Road, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Coshatte Cemetery, Bellville, Texas.
