Virginia Frazier Coyle

September 9, 1923 - January 15, 2020

Virginia Pearl Frazier Coyle, 96, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Spindletop Hill Nursing Home, Beaumont. She was born on September 9, 1923, to Nannie Mahaffey Frazier and Edwin Booth Frazier, in Orange.

As a young girl, her father was a night watchman at the Beaumont fairgrounds. During this time, she had the opportunity to meet many entertainers. Eventually she married a Coast Guard serviceman who was stationed here on assignment in High Island. This is where she made her home with Everett and eventually moved to Kingsville until the end of World War II. Then she spent the rest of her life in Beaumont.

Survivors include her sons, Everett Davis and his wife, Concepcion and Phillip Davis and his wife, Linda, all of Beaumont; daughters, Connie Coyle of Mexico; Beverly Coyle of Monroe, Louisiana; and Kathryn Coyle Martin and her husband, Robert, of Fannett; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Everett Davis, Sr.; second husband, Rolan Coyle; and son, Clarence (Poley) Edwin Davis.

A memorial service for Mrs. Coyle will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
