Wylene LaVerne Emerson Alston

Wylene Laverne Alston, 86, of High Island, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021.  She was born on February 18, 1935, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to Modell Crouch Emerson and Wylie Emerson.

Mrs. Alston retired from Clairmont Nursing Home after many years as an LVN. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and also enjoyed genealogy.  She will always be remembered for her caring heart.

Survivors include her sons, Roland Farrar of Crystal Beach and Frank Wesley Farrar and his wife, Judy, of Lebanon, Illinois; daughters, Susan Sullivan and her husband, Alvin, of High Island and Kathy Farrar of Silsbee; grandchildren, Crystal, Ricky, Aaron, Chad, Tara, Josh, Jennifer, Kirbi, and Steven; great-grandchildren, Trebor, Bryce, Katelyn, Abram, Emily, Grayson, Travis, Ava, JT, and Andilyn; and sisters, Jo Dean Tiner of Edmond, Oklahoma and Jennifer Tynes and her husband, Ray, of Wilson, Oklahoma.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Billy Adams, and Robert Tiner.

Mrs. Alston’s committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
