Yvonne Aiena

November 20, 1932 - January 6, 2019

Yvonne Venable Aiena, 86, of Beaumont, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at The Oaks at Beaumont. She was born on November 20, 1932, in Hayes, Louisiana, to her parents, Eulice and Alida Moore Venable, who preceded her in death. Yvonne was a lifelong resident of Beaumont, a devout catholic and homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Alida Smith and her husband, Mike, of Fannett; Sharon Smith and her husband, Jimmy, of China; and Debra Morrell and her husband, Paul, of Beaumont; sons, Leon Aiena, Jr. and his wife, Kassy, of Beaumont and Mark Aiena, Sr. and his wife, Susan, of Fannett; nephew, Pat Anderson, who was like a son to her, granddaughters, Janet Smith Brown, Tanya Smith, Kristy Aiena Hanks, Stacy Aiena Trimble, and Alyssa Aiena; grandsons, Frank Morrell II, Leon Morrell, Michael Smith, Jr.; and Mark Aiena, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who gave her great comfort throughout Leon and her illnesses.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, of 62 years, Leon Aiena, Sr.; brothers, Joe Venable, Mike Venable, James Venable; sisters, Irene Zyrangue and Mildred Foux.

A gathering of Mrs. Aiena’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her cremation will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.
