Big T Moss

November 8, 1958 - October 8, 2021

Terrance McFarland “Big T Moss” Moss, 62, of Silsbee, died Friday, October 8, 2021. He was born on November 8, 1958, to Martha Saurage Moss and Robert Moss, in Beaumont.

Big T, also lovingly known to his family as Pappy, worked for Brystar Construction for around 30 years and he loved his coworkers like family along with his hunting buddies.  He was a big jokester and could always be counted on for a laugh.

T was known for his mouth-watering meals, he loved to cook, and to make up new recipes.  He only knew how to cook for an army, so everyone always showed up hungry.  His Thanksgiving deep fried cajun turkeys were well known, his Christmas seafood gumbo, his annual Easter crawfish boil and fall off the bone perfectly smoked ribs & brisket were among the family favorites.

T was an avid fisherman and could be found all along our Texas gulf coast catching redfish & trout.  Which of course he promptly brought home and turned into a feast.

T loved his children, his grandbabies, and his wonderful wife of 27 years, and of course his 4-legged children.  He would always have an Australian shepherd & a blue healer at his heels.

T was a gentle giant with a heart of gold and a fist of iron.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Moss; mother, Martha Saurage Perez of Texas; daughter, Summer Garrett of Dallas; son, Jerrett Armstrong and his wife, Amanda, of Orange; brother, Greg Moss and his wife, Yoshi, of Houston; sister, Kathie O’Neal of Spring; and grandchildren, Brent Beach and Madelyn Beach.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Moss.
