Jacob Heinlein

April 13, 1993 - October 16, 2021

Jacob Vincent Heinlein passed in peace on October 16, 2021, at the age of 28. He was the son of Gina Vallot Heinlein and V. Eric Heinlein. Jake was born on April 13, 1993, in Beaumont.  He was a Beaumont native for most of his life before a brief stint as a Houstonian in his last months.

Jacob was special. He was special because those who welcomed him into their world had their lives profoundly changed. Their spirits were revealed just how comprehensive and unconditional the love of God truly is, and their hearts were filled with overwhelming compassion for our neighbors who don’t exactly fit the norm. Jake bonded our family even more than it already was. As the youngest in his immediate family and the youngest grandchild, he was naturally bound to be spoiled. He was non-verbal with the exception of ages 4-7 but everyone close to him seemed to know what he wanted and needed most of the time. He attended school in the Special Ed classes and graduated from The Oaks Education Center in 2013. He was blessed with a family that all helped raise him, most especially his sister and brother who took special consideration and sacrifice in loving and caring for him as they too were navigating their own adolescence and young adulthood.

Youngest son to Gina and Eric and little brother to Jessica Foreman and Joshua Heinlein. Further survived by his nephew and niece, Carter and Khloe Foreman; aunts, MaryBeth Woodall; JoAnn Vallot; Susan Vallot; Uncle Joey Vallot and his wife Charlotte; cousins, Tiffany Woodall; Christopher Woodall and his wife, Nicole; Jason Woodall; Lauren LeBlanc and her husband, Scott; Amber Riedmueller and her husband Gerald; and littlest cousins, Bailey Woodall and Rose Riedmueller. He is also one of the youngest members of the extended Eichelberger family based in Maryland and has a string of friends and caretakers who all let him get away with a little too much sometimes.

Jacob is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Joe and Dolores Vallot and Harvey and Dot Heinlein; and cousins, Rebecca Eichelberger and Donny Eichelberger.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be donated to the Spindletop Center, 655 South 8th Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701, The Shorkey Center, 855 South 8th Street, Beaumont, Texas, 77701 or St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77706.

    Gina and family,
I so enjoyed reading this tribute to Jacob. What joy and happiness he brought into so many lives. He was an inspiration and taught others about a different kind of love. I know he will be missed but he is in heaven with his grandparents and they are having a great time watching over the family.

    Karen Roebuck says:

Eric, heartfelt condolences during these difficult times. May our Lord Jesus provide you and all of Jacob’s family a peace that surpasses all our understanding.

My pastor noted at my Mom’s funeral, that the cost of GREAT LOVE is great grief. In your grief remember Jacob’s GREAT LOVE and how simply splendid it was.

Hold on to that love and God’s peace, as you learn to navigate these new waters of life.

Remember our greatest hope and promise that we will be with Jesus and Jacob in Heaven, if we know Jesus Christ as our Savior. Cling to that promise until we see Jacob again.

    Love you my friend ♥️
