Patricia K. Keprta
Patricia K. Keprta, 87, of Beaumont, died peacefully Friday, November 5, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1934, to Catherine Diehl Stuber Schwartz and Joseph Stuber, in Mingo Junction, Ohio.
After graduating from Mingo Junction high school in 1950, Patricia received her RN at Aultman College in Canton, Ohio. Following nurses training, she traveled to Southern California, where she met the love of her life, William Joseph Keprta. They were married in 1957. Her nursing career lasted for approximately 50 years, primarily in the Labor and Delivery and Nursery at Baptist and Women and Children’s Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. In addition to her Nursing and Homemaking career, she was avid crafts artisan for over 60 years. Among these included needlework, ceramics, embroidery and quilting. Her creations were a labor of love and were primarily given to family, classmates, friends and the church community.
Survivors include her sons, Sean Keprta and his wife, Kathie, of League City; Joel Keprta of San Leon; and Colin Keprta and his wife, Kelly, of Cypress; sisters, Clara Sue Milewsky and her husband, Leroy, of Mingo Junction, Ohio and Alberta Mader and her husband, Larry, of Bergholz, Ohio; brother, Mark Schwartz of Hilton Head, South Carolina; and grandson, Nathaniel Keprta. She also leaves a large network of nieces, nephews and friends among her church and craft community.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Keprta and daughters, Celeste Keprta and Erica Keprta.

A gathering of Mrs. Keprta’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 11:00 a.m., and a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont. Her entombment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

Was so sorry to learn that my dear Pat has gone to her heavenly reward. She was so dear to me but I did not see mulch of her after she left St. Anne to go to St. Jude. I still treasure a croched cross she made for me. I loved her and will pray for her and and all of the family.
Only just found out Pat passed away. My condolences to Pat’s family. We baked St. Joseph cookies together for many years. She was a talented Christian woman. Very strong. May she be enjoying her rewards in heaven.
So sad to hear of Pat’s passing. I remember her well from Women’s and Children’s hospital pediatrics unit when I worked there. She was a great nurse and talented crafter. RIP.
Pat was a very talented quilting friend and will be missed!
I will never look at another sample of Christmas related fabric without thinking fondly of a beautiful friend. You will be missed, Dear Pat.

Aunt Pat was a strong and very smart lady. She was dedicated to her family, friends, church, and work. I so admired her talent and creativity. She made so many beautiful gifts from ceramic ornaments and decorations, to hand stitched and embroidered quilts, Christmas stockings, and table runners, plus so many other items. It’s amazing to think that she was able to make so many pretty things, all the while working and raising four kids, alongside her beloved husband Bill. She came every year to our Keprta family Christmas party armed with goodies for everyone. As our family grew, she just kept adding on to her list, and she never forgot anyone. I have a whole collection of her items that I love, and they adorn my house at Christmas. They are heirloom quality and I will be passing them on within my family. The thoughtfulness of turning out so many things over at least 50 years or more of family parties, plus what she gave to her other family members and friends, is incredible. She left an indelible mark, and my thoughts and prayers are with her remaining children, my cousins Sean, Joel, and Colin, and their families.
I enjoyed working with Pat on the baptismal bibs. I will miss her kindness and smile.
Sean, I have been thinking about you and your mom for several weeks now. I believe God was telling me she wasn’t doing well. I miss y’all! So sad for your loss. She was one of the most talented women and loyal friends I’ve ever known. Love y’all!

What a dear friend Pat always was to me. Never hesitating to tell you how she felt about something, she was a loyal a true friend. And such a talented and generous person. I treasure the handmade Christmas gifts she gave me over the years.
Eternal rest, grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
I lost a dear friend, we made a lot sewing meetings together and some fun trips. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, Pat is with her loving Bill now.

Sean, we are very sorry to hear of the death of your Mom. She was a very kind person and I know God welcomes her. I can recall all the times she drove my brothers and I to KHS and well before then at St Anne’s. I know she will be greatly missed but we pray that she is enjoying her heavenly reward.
