Virginia E. “Ginger” Aubey
Virginia E. “Ginger” Aubey, 71, of Beaumont, died November 9, 2021, at Arden Place of Beaumont. She was born February 8, 1950, and raised by Mary Frances Durst and Sterling Frank Durst.
Ginger graduated from South Park High School in Beaumont in 1968. She worked as a veterinary technician at Countryside Veterinary Clinic, Lumberton, and was a great lover of animals.
Ginger is survived by her brother, Glenn Durst and his wife, Mary, of Sour Lake; niece and nephew, Nicole and Andrew Durst; great nephew, Braedon Humphrey; and her best friend of over fifty years, Fran Weber.
She is preceded in death by her father, Sterling Frank Durst; mother, Mary Frances Durst; and aunt, Virginia C. Aubey.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Tom Granger, Teri Self, and Fran Weber for their love and devotion towards Ginger in her last years.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 224 West Barkley Street, Sour Lake. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Ginger’s graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont.

“Ginger’s” grandfather and my grandfather were brothers, so I am one of “Ginger’s” many cousins. I haven’t seen “Ginger” since we were children growing up in Beaumont, but I remember her as a sweet little girl whose mother was a first cousin to my daddy, L. J. Aubey. I moved away from the Beaumont area when I married in 1966, and my husband and I never moved back to that area to live. I just want to say that I am praying for peace, comfort, and healing from their grief for “Ginger’s” loved ones. As a fellow Catholic, I am praying for the eternal rest of “Ginger’s” soul in Heaven with God, our Father, Jesus, our Savior, and The Holy Spirit, our helper. Sincerely, Norma Aubey Lewis p.s.
