    Our Dear Sweet Bert,
We will miss you terribly. We are so blessed that you became a member of our family.
I am grateful to have been a part of many fun adventures with you. From entertaining casino road trips, to dancing to Cajun music at 8 o’clock in the morning at Fred’s Lounge in Mamou, LA, to our cross country adventure to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship (definitely a trip I will never forget).
You were always smiling, always entertaining, and always so sweet, kind, and thoughtful.
I loved watching you enjoy music and often dance to it. And you had me laughing every time you would give me one of “those looks” when mom did something that you didn’t exactly agree with! Oh, being with you two was always entertaining! And it was such a joy celebrating holidays and special occasions with you.
I know you are up in heaven with your parents, your brother, and your other family having a wonderful reunion. Until we meet again, know that I miss you and love you.

Miss Hebert was a P.E. teacher at TJ 1962, 1963 & 1964 when I was there. From the first time I met her I knew I wanted to be a P.E. teacher just like her. My parents could not send me to college, they couldn’t afford it. So I had to do something else. She was my mentor and I would never forget her over the years. I seen her through the years and she never changed. Always the sweetest person I ever met. PIP Miss Hebert I will always remember you. Until we meet again.

Bert, I am so thankful for your friend Iris for bringing you to visit us last year. And especially grateful Alfred was able to stay and visit with the two of you. You were a big inspiration because you continued to play golf with your buddies. You did not give up because you were getting older. And, you played the drum in the Red Hussar Drum and Bugle Corps. Beginning the year after I graduated you became a sponsor for the Hussars. I told everybody, you never changed. Anybody and everybody could recognize you. Bert, you took care of yourself. That is an admiration. Age did not stop you. I am so thankful we had a place for you to evacuate to. I am so very thankful for your special God send friend Iris. You and Alfred are having a reunion in heaven. We loved you so very much. That love continues.
