Jackie Martin

January 14, 1930 - June 24, 2025

Jackie Martin, age 95, of Beaumont died on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. She was born on January 14, 1930, in Woodville, Texas, to Imogene Bostick Geisendorff and Albert Geisendorff.

Woodville was full of happy memories of Jackie’s childhood. It was a place she always enjoyed going back to in her mind thinking of her childhood. She was an avid reader and loved to have a good book in her hand much of the time. Jackie was also a fantastic gardener. You could give her any plant that was in rough shape that you wouldn’t think could make it and she could turn it around quickly and have it grow beautifully. She had such a green thumb.

Jackie was an apartment manager for many years where she kept a tight ship making sure the properties and apartments were kept pristine.

Survivors include her children, Lynda Moncla and her husband, Kenny; Barbara Raymond and her husband, Jim; David Martin and his wife, Patrizia; and Janice Grossheim; grandchildren, Austin Warner and his wife, Olivia; Katie Raymond; Sarah Davis and her husband, Grant; Mollie Marino, Ian Fletcher, Jenica Fletcher, Zachary Martin and Michael Martin. Jackie also had six great grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Jackie is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Marino and grandson, Cy Fletcher.

The family would like to thank Beaumont Healthcare Center on Lindbergh Drive for the love and wonderful care they gave Jackie during her last years.

Jackie’s cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A private gathering will be held at a later date.

Ms Jackie was the manager for our apartment complex when I was a kid. I still talk about how she would let us kids come in her apartment for a cold drink after playing in the pool all day. When I think of Ms Jackie the visual of me looking at the open office doors with her reading a book and smoking a cigarette come to mind. Just loving her best life. Such a sweet and caring lady. Thank you for watching all us kiddos Ms Jackie. Our parents appreciated it!! 🙂

So sorry for the families loss but what an amazing long life Miss Jackie lived. I met her years ago working for her at the Apartments she managed. She was a pistol for sure. The world could sure use more people like her. Someone to tell you what she thinks, someone to tell you the truth. ❤️❤️🙏🏻

Mother enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Her life centered around raising her five children who were the focus of her life.  She was so proud of all of them and would constantly brag on their successes.
Never a stranger to anyone, she would light up a room with her smile and laughter.  During her life, and career as a property manager, Mom met, befriended, consoled, and mentored countless people, many who she developed lifelong friendships with.  She enjoyed her work so much that she continued with it into her eighties. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time at the beach. She had an infectious personality that everyone treasured.  She was full of fascinating stories and adventures, that she willingly shared with everyone. Some of her stories would make you laugh until you cried.
Mom was the foundation of her family and the one we turned to for everything. She had so much wisdom, and an enduring supply of love for everyone.  Her hands held, her heart cared, and her spirit inspired.  She was a teacher, a guide and the greatest supporter.  Her legacy of love and resilience will be remembered by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
The world feels a little dimmer without her light. But her memory will live on in each of us.  Thank you, mother, for everything. We love you, now and always Mom.
