Helen “Betty” Dale

December 17, 1935 - October 21, 2025

Helen “Betty” Dale, 89, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born on December 17, 1935, in Beaumont to Nadine Perkins and Walter Curtis Hughes.

Helen was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished Mimi, and wonderful sister whose kindness and faith touched everyone who knew her. A proud graduate of South Park High School in Beaumont, she carried her strong values and caring nature into every part of her life.

On March 2, 1957, Helen married her soulmate, J.C., and together they shared fifty-three beautiful years of marriage built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to their family.

A talented seamstress and dedicated homemaker, Helen had a gift for creating warmth and comfort in everything she did, and her home reflected the love and care she poured into it.

Helen’s strong Christian faith was at the heart of who she was. She found great joy in serving the Lord and being an active member of her church, North End Baptist, where she loved participating in fellowship and lending a helping hand wherever she was needed.

She had a deep appreciation for learning and a lifelong love of reading and history. Her patriotic spirit was evident in her pride for her country and her respect for those who served it.

Helen will be remembered for her gentle heart, steadfast faith, and the love she so freely gave to her family. She has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; she was reunited with her loving husband J.C., in Heaven. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the example of grace and devotion she leaves behind.

Survivors include her children, Susan Dale and John Dale and his wife, Melissa, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Amber Nicole Stiles and her husband, Rocky; Brittany Elaine Kutac and her husband, Michael; and Emily Ann Dale; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Dale, Michael Wayne Stiles, Grace Elizabeth Kutac, Adeline Michelle Kutac, Charlotte Ann Kutac, Wyatt Mason Dale; and brother, Tommy Hughes.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.C. Dale; and siblings, Pat Wilkins, Joyce Owens, Darlene Craighead, David Hughes, and Donald Hughes.

A very special thank you to her nurse, Sharla Gonzales and the Director of Rosemary House, Amy Burch and her caretakers, Jessica Dugas, Yolanda Davis, Jo Ann Jackson, Ironeshia Harrison and Gianna Sandoval for their love, care and support to my family and the exceptional care that they gave our sweet mother.
