A.J. “Andy” Strazz

A.J. “Andy” Strazz, Jr., 81, of Evadale, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was born on December 10, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Margaret Mary Thomas Strazz and Anthony John Strazz, Sr.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sherry Strazz; his children, Michelle McGowan and husband, Benton, of Lumberton; Anthony “John” Strazz III of Jasper; David Newton Strazz and wife, Erica, of Lumberton; and his cherished grandchildren, Taylor Harvill and wife, Maci, of Groves; Skyler Harvill and wife, Charlee, of Nederland; Baylei Jordan and husband, Dustin, of Orange; Triston McGowan of Seguin; and Nicholas Strazz and Grant Strazz. He is also survived by his great-grandchild, Ramsey Jane Harvill; his sister, Mary McAlpine and husband, Tim; niece, Christine McAlpine; nephew, Randy McAlpine and wife, Lauren; and great-niece and nephews, Henry, Charlotte, and George, all of Omaha, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Anthony Strazz, Sr.

Andy had a deep love for hunting, the outdoors, and spending time at his ranch in Rocksprings, where he found peace and joy. A man of extraordinary work ethic, he could fix or build anything he set his mind to. He expressed his love for his family through his actions, and they will forever cherish the countless ways he touched their lives. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2024, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024, with interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
