Aaron Hope Crain

May 25, 1933 - January 5, 2021

Reverend Aaron Hope Alexander Crain, 87, of Kountze, passed away on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021. He was born on May 25th, 1933 in Caldwell Texas, to Quill V Crain and Katie Conner. Mr. Crain was a very well-respected pastor and loving husband, father and grandfather. 

While always staying active in Church, Prayer services, and working on vehicles in his garage; he always made time to visit those in nursing homes, hospitals, and homes of those sick or in need. He loved to share the gospel of Christ with everyone around him, and helped countless people including family, friends, and people in the community in which he served. He will be very much missed.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Crain and his children, Bria Purcell, Westin Crain, Sabryn Lopez, and Devany Crain; daughter, Rhonda Taylor and her sons Jamie Ayers, Steve Garlaska, and Jason Garlaska; grandchildren, Joshua, Keith, and Brandy Simmons, Rachel Larson, and Misty Martin; and niece, Carroll Ann Truelove. 

Reverend Crain is proceeded in death by his wife Mildred Crain; children Roger Simmons, and David Simmons; grandson Justin Simmons, and siblings Zelda Crain, Farica Crain, Van Clyde Crain, Naomi Crain, Christ’s Crain, Joseph Buford Crain, Lora Crain, and June Darlene Crain. 

A graveside service for Reverend Crain will begin at 10 am Tuesday, January 12th, at Jordan cemetery, 9097 FM1293, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
