Addie Martha Thibodeaux
Addie Martha Thibodeaux, 98, of Port Arthur, died Friday, April 7, 2023, at Oak Grove Nursing Home. She was born January 4, 1925, in Emad, Louisiana, to Odelia Laramond Fontenot and Previa Fontenot.
Addie loved to cook, crochet, and mow. She was so good at growing things, her friends referred to her as, “Aunt Green.”
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Gossett and wife, Mary, of Spring; Troy Thibodeaux and wife, Phyllis, of Port Acres; Kevin Thibodeaux and wife, Lil Soileau, of Groves; Bambi Dies and husband, Gerard, of Port Acres; and Jeanice Garrison and husband, Matt, of Port Neches; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-granchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy J. Thibodeaux; and siblings, Laura Periou; Gertie LeFleur; Delco Fontenot; Abbie Fontenot; Clement Fontenot; Ida Young; Cenite Reeves; and Earline Sandage.
A gathering of Mrs. Thibodeaux’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
