Agnes Shoemake
Agnes Jorine Shoemake, 86, of Silsbee, died Monday, January 13, 2025. She was born on July 27, 1938, in Austin, to Mamie EllaBelle Puckett Williams and Richard H. Williams, Sr..
She was a long-time homemaker and also managed the Silsbee Senior Center for nine years.
Survivors include her children, Rhonda Kay and her husband, Don, of Silsbee; Brenda Shoemake of Silsbee; and Jamie Utley of Vidor; grandchildren, Haydon Kay and Allison Hooks, Robert Kay, Brandon Kay, Stephanye Stewart and her husband, Josh, and Justin West; and great-grandchildren, Riley Kay, Mason Stewart, Lucas Stewart, Makenzie Kay, Eevee Kay, Sophia West, and Nolen West.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mamie and Richard Williams; husband, Fred Shoemake; brother, Richard Williams, Jr.; sisters, Helen Luckey and Jessie Perry; and sons-in-law, Cliff Utley and Anthony Jackson.
A gathering of Mrs. Shoemake’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, with her interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
