Alan Heald, 70, of Beaumont, died Sunday, September 4, 2022, at College Street Healthcare Center, Beaumont. He was born May 4, 1952, in Dallas, to Betty Jean Odom Heald and Francis Leon Heald.
Alan was an amazing artist and loved nature and his cats dearly. He was a loner but so loving. Alan worked at Ennis Hospital for twenty years and as an EMT.
He made polymer clay art themed in nature and would use pieces from nature, but only if they had already fallen on the ground. Alan also made pottery. He had a dry sense of humor, loved his family, and was a good friend and kind spirited. All of his artwork was donated to Lamar University, and they are going to have a showcase of his work at a later date with Artists of Southeast Texas at Lamar University.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Jean Heald of Beaumont; sister, Linda Martin and her husband, Chad, of Beaumont; nieces and nephews, Kassie Heald of Kemp, Ty Heald of Emery, Micah Jones of Beaumont and Miles Jones of Sugar Hill, Georgia; and numerous loved ones, colleagues, and friends throughout the years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Francis Leon Heald and brother, Scott Heald.
His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
Alan is my 2nd cousin. Thanks so much for the photo and information. I just located this. I have been in contact with Betty, his mom, and another family member Sandra , but not him. Only through genealogy research. His photo I added to my Family tree along with Broussards Crematorium as provider. Thanks Again Mary Ann Johnson
