Albert Mitchell Anderson

February 15, 1936 - September 30, 2024

Albert Mitchell Anderson, 88, died on Monday, September 30, 2024.  He was born on February 15, 1936, in Kountze to Tom and Irene Anderson.

He was a carpenter all his life- and worked on industrial, housing, remodeling projects.  He loved the outdoors, hunting deer, trapping hogs, gardening, just anything to do with the outdoors.  After his retirement, to keep himself busy, he decided one year to build deer blinds.  It started off slow, but soon blossomed into a full time job.  He has deer blinds all over Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.  He was a well-rounded craftsman, and everyone loved his work. He was a religious man, and he loved his Lord and Savior.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Pennie Anderson of thirty-four years; children, Terry Anderson and family, of Nacogdoches; Lisa Hansen and her family, of Kountze; Dana Burt and her family, of Kountze; and Allen Anderson and his family, of Silsbee;  stepsons, Cliffton Parsons and his family, of Lumberton; Leslie Parsons and his family, of Sour Lake; and Jason Parsons and his family, of Kountze; his brothers, J.D. Anderson; Dwight Anderson; Leroy Anderson; A.J. Anderson; Doty Anderson; and Alton Anderson; Sisters, Ruth Ellen Herrington; and Martha Doty.  He is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews; nieces; and other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Irene Anderson; brothers, Leman Anderson; Gilbert Anderson; Thomas Anderson; Lester Anderson; Hubert Anderson; Chester Anderson; and Clarence Anderson; and sisters, Marie Eavers; and Jewel Anderson.

A gathering of Mr. Anderson’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.  His cremation arrangements were handled though Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, Kountze.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Ms. Brenda Lewis, RN, and Pughnee White, Aide, for their dedication and devotion to the care given to Albert M. Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for all donations to be made to Harbor Hospice, 2450 N Major Dr, Beaumont.
