Alda Jo Jones

January 26, 1940 - January 27, 2023

Alda Jo Jones, 83, of Nederland, died Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born January 26, 1940, in Port Arthur, to Ruby and Milford Grissom.

Jo was an amazing person with a heart of gold. She loved her family with all her heart and loved spending time with them. She loved to read books and sit and watch Nascar. She liked everyone and if you met her, you would love her. Jo made friends easily and had some amazing friends that she worked with at the Highway Department. Jo loved to take her grandchildren to the beach and make memories with them that will last forever. God has truly taken an angel home. She was and is loved so very much and will be missed just as much. Thank God for the time we had with her, and she will live in our hearts forever!

Survivors include her children, Leslie Renee Jones; Jean Darlene Dolly Wolgast; Regan Lee Jones and wife, Rene; Paulette Brown; and Kellie Brown; grandchildren, Justin Jones; Dillon Michael Jones; Lindsey Danyel Wolgast; Lacey Ashton Wolgast; Wesley Max Wolgast; Corey Moore; Courtney Reformado; Cassey Brew; and Christtey Thibodeaux; great-grandchildren, Aria Belle Jones; Maverick Lee Jones; William Scott Wolgast Alexander; and George Max Wolgast Alexander.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Skipper Grissom.

Ms. Jones’ cremation arrangements will be handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
