Alicia McClain

Alicia Janae McClain, 36, of Port Arthur, died Friday, November 26, 2021, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born February 11, 1985, in Oceanside, California, to Jennie Elizabeth Jones McClain and Reginald David McClain, Sr.

Alicia was a 2003 graduate of Memorial High School, Port Arthur. She loved music and during her high school years, she was a drum major and played clarinet. She was very talented and won several UIL competitions.

Alicia was the owner of Pudding Express and she was well-known for her phenomenal banana pudding. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and traveling. Alicia was also the family babysitter. She loved children and she will be missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her mother, Jennie McClain; daughter, Aubrey-Faith Irene McClain; siblings, Reginald David McClain, Jr. and wife, Chasidy; Jaleesa Garlington and husband, Quarmaine; and Dominque Bryant and husband, Kendrick, all of Port Arthur; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Reginald David McClain, Sr.; grandparents, R.T. McClain, Jr. and wife, Ruth; grandmother, Marie Jones; great-grandmother, Irene “Mother”; and cousin, Thomas McClain.

A gathering of Alicia’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021, at First Sixth Street Baptist Church, 548 Abe Lincoln Avenue, Port Arthur. Her interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
