Alma Marie Maldonado
Alma Marie Maldonado, 84, of Beaumont, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Christus Southeast Texas-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont, after a brief illness.
She was born on September 23, 1936, in Doucette, Texas, to Irene Guerreo Maldonado and Nicholas Maldonado.
After graduating from St. Anthony’s High School in 1956, she attended Durham’s Business College. Alma loved music and loved to play the piano. She even strummed guitar every now and then. However, nothing could compare with her love for her church, family, and her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sisters, Alice Maldonado from Beaumont, Theresa Scaggs of Denton, Texas; her devoted loving niece, Diana Maldonado of Beaumont; sister-in-law, Mary Maldonado of Sanger, Texas; and several other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Albert, Lionel, and Lee Maldonado.
A gathering of Ms. Maldonado’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2021, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Alma will be remembered as such a sweet person. We went to high school and graduated together. She has regained the use of her legs and I'm sure is making the rounds in heaven visiting old friends. May she rest in the peace of God!
