Amy Smith Dubea

Amy Smith Dubea, 40, of Beaumont, formerly of Alexandria, Louisiana, died Sunday, April 4, 2021, at Houston Methodist Hospital, The Woodlands. She was born on June 27, 1980, to Deborah Anne Gillespie Smith and Randy Lynell Smith, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Survivors include her husband, Chad Dubea; parents, Debbye Gillespie Adkinson and her husband, Howard, of Tioga, Louisiana and Randy L. Smith of Hineston, Louisiana; daughter, Karley Anne Smith and her fiancé, Kennedy Shelton; son, Joseph Tassin; stepdaughter-Katlyn Dubea; stepson, Jason Dubea; and mother and father-in-law, Patricia and Mick Dubea, all of Beaumont; brother, Marcus Adkinson of Tioga, Louisiana; stepsisters, Cindy Adkinson Brown and her husband, Joe, of Alexandria, Louisiana and Vickie Adkinson Scaramucci and her husband, Alex, of Atlanta, Georgia; and stepbrother, Rikki Sasser of Hineston, Louisiana; She is also survived by her nephew, Nikolas Sasser of Austin; niece, Ainsley Anne Adkinson of Tioga, Louisiana; grandfather, Elton Smith of Hineston, Louisiana; and best friends, Rhonda Schall of Beaumont, and Andrea Matthews, Kristen Parker, and April Flemming, all of Alexandria, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her stepmother, Lynnda Sasser Smith; grandparents, Grammy and Gramps Gillespie and MawMaw Smith; and Aunt Jenny.

A gathering of Amy’s family and friends will begin at the graveside at 11:00 a.m., with her graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

We are all so saddened by hearing about Amy. I remember Karley, Katlyn and Joey playing with Olivia and Elijah. Amy was a wonderful, funny and vibrant person and such a great Mom to every kid and always treated everyone with love and kindness. Our prayers are with you all.
